In the last post, I focused on the hard times in Illinois. Similar sights showed up today, most in Dallas City. But in this post, I want to focus on the beauty that showed up, from buildings and the Mississippi River.
The song for the post is Dietro Casa. It’s another contemporary piano song by one of my favorite musicians, Ludovico Einaudi. For me, this song feels like appreciating the past, with contemplative and melancholy tone.
Similar to past posts, a few pictures today are worth viewing in high-res and zooming in. To do that, right-click on them and choose ‘Open in new tab’ or something similar.
Like the previous day, several big trucks passed me hauling grain.
Many miles went by in large fields on small roads.
Another sight from farm fields. It felt refreshing just seeing some trees.
It also felt refreshing when the road curved, since it was often straight to the horizen.
The sign on the left says ‘Lomax Banking Center.’ I think the home on the right was the bank.
The Mississippi River often gave some ‘visual relief.’
I can imagine when the Ford Dealership on the left was a vibrant place.
This used to be an impressive bank, can imagine people dressed up for work there.
