I think I’ve set a new record for being behind on my bike blog. The biggest challenge is all the interesting people I meet and enjoy talking with, an interesting challenge for a solo bike ride. Back to this day, it was the closest day yet to a routine day on the road. That doesn’t mean it was dull, as the pictures show.
The song for today is Oh La La, since it was kind of an Oh La La kind of day.
I’m becoming used to quiet country roads, fun stuff.
When I rolled into the town of Galena, IL, I suspected it would be different than many towns.
Galena turned out to be very different. Unlike many small towns, they’ve kept their old buildings, lots of them.
There was some kind of festival going on.
More fun sights in Galena.
When I left Galena, more fun houses showed up.
Back into the country. The Mississippi River is barely visible on the right.
I needed a break when this grocery store showed up.
I love the inside. Staff told me the store is new. The owner started the store since there was so little fresh veggies for sale in town.
Miles later, I rolled through another fun little town.

I haven’t commented recently. But that DOESN”T mean I haven’t been enjoying your posts. I just didn’t want to burden you with having to read a possibly reply since I know you’re busy. Glad to see you’re making good progress and seemingly enjoying every mile along the way. Stay safe!
