I’ve been amazed at the generosity of people who have donated money to cancer research as a part of the ride. My goal is to raise $1 for each mile, which is $4,179. Unfortunately, I still over $1,000 short, and the trip ends on August 5. I’ve always been ambitious and optimistic, so with the help of the good folks at Adventure Cycling I still hope to exceed my goal, since they’re helping publicize my fund-raising.
My cancer is under control because of a new medication, but it’ll only work for about 5 years. After that, I’ll need a medication that hasn’t been invented yet. With your help, that medication will be invented. Please consider making a donation. I personally appreciate any amount.
All donations will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF), which is rated high on Charity Navigator. PCF has donated millions of dollars to treatments for prostate cancer, including the treatment I’m on.
Until recently, people sponsored miles on my trip, and when I crossed their miles, I’d take a picture and post it on this blog. I’m no longer doing that because the trip is taking much more time than I expected.
Thanks for stopping by.
