Randoneers means far & fast.

This is my 1st ride with a Randoneers group. It’s an uncommon word. All I knew before this ride is that they went at least 100km (65 miles). They go on 1,000 km rides too.

The part that’s surprised me is how fast they go as well, about 15-18 mph. I now know that I like going 10-14 mph.

The hills on this route have also been tough. I’m way behind the group. That means navigating by myself for many miles with my trusty & tiny GPS, but I’m actually enjoying it.

This is what I do, explore on my own, meet people, and write. That’s a strange advantage of being far back in last place. I can cycle the way I want to, fun stuff.
Here’s what I’m seeing…
